Huntington Ingalls Industries’s IT hiring activity rises 8.7% in August 2022

US-based company Huntington Ingalls Industries IT hiring rose 8.7% in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 13.61% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 21.28% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2022, and recorded a 3.63% growth over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects tops Huntington Ingalls Industries IT hiring in August 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Huntington Ingalls Industries, Database and Network Administrators and Architects emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 39.46% in August 2022, and a 17.98% drop over July 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 38.92% in August 2022, and registered growth of 8.27%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 12.97% in August 2022, a 31.43% drop from July 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Huntington Ingalls Industries

North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in August 2022 with an 83.51% share, which marked a 6.65% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 16.49%, registering a 41.9% month-on-month decline.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with an 83.51% share in August 2022, a 6.65% decline over July 2022. The UK featured next with a 15.95% share, down 41.58% over the previous month. Greece recorded a 0.27% share, a decline of 50% compared with July 2022.

Mid Level jobs lead Huntington Ingalls Industries IT hiring activity in August 2022

Mid Level jobs held a share of 76.22%, down by 20.56% from July 2022. Junior Level positions with a 21.62% share, a growth of 8.11% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 1.89% share, up 16.67% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.27%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
