Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 53% in November 2022, a 30.56% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 18.73% in November 2022, marking a 33.75% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 16.61% in November 2022, a 46.88% rise from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 17.35% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Boeing posted 130 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a decline of 17.72% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 39 jobs and a 2.5% drop. Thales with 36 IT jobs and Elettronica with 30 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a 40% drop, respectively, while Cubic recorded a 57.89% decline with 8 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 66.78% share in November 2022, a 24.1% decrease over October 2022. Australia featured next with a 19.79% share, down 30.86% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 5.65% share, a growth of 45.45% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.3%, down by 26% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 43.82% share, registered a decline of 18.95% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.89% share, flat growth over October 2022.
