Notably, Architecture and Engineering Occupations jobs accounted for a 17% share of the Mexican’s aerospace, defence and security industry new job postings in Q2 2023, down by 32% over the prior quarter.
Architecture and Engineering Occupations drive aerospace, defence and security hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which accounted for 17% of the total new job postings in Q2 2023 and were down by 38% year-on-year. Second highest were Computer and Mathematical Occupations, which accounted for 13% and drop by 16% year-on-year, and third highest were Production Occupations, which were 67% of the new job postings and 74% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in aerospace, defence and security accounted for 83% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by RTX with 78, followed by GE Aviation with 63, while the highest increase was at Thales at 209%.
