Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which accounted for 9% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 80% year-on-year. Second highest were Computer and Mathematical Occupations, which accounted for 9% and rise by 3% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 0.57% of the new job postings and 52% higher year-on-year.

Top five companies in aerospace, defence and security accounted for 79% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Bombardier with 669, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 366, while the highest increase was at CAE at 17%.
