Office and Administrative Support Occupations came in second with a share of 10% in Q1 2024, with new job postings rising by 8% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent cbrne roles include Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 10% share in Q1 2024, Architecture and Engineering Occupations with a 9% share of new job postings.

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q1 2024 were Lockheed Martin, Leidos, Northrop Grumman, V2X, and General Dynamics. Together they accounted for a combined share of 43% of all cbrne-related new jobs in the aerospace, defence and security industry.

Lockheed Martin posted 84 cbrne-related new jobs in Q1 2024, Leidos 41 jobs, Northrop Grumman 38 jobs, V2X 37 jobs, and General Dynamics 29 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 87.83% share of total new job postings, Q1 2024

The largest share of cbrne-related new job postings in the aerospace, defence and security industry in Q1 2024 was in the US with 87.83% followed by Qatar (2.06%) and Canada (1.87%). The share represented by the US was 14 percentage points higher than the 74.31% share it accounted for in Q4 2023.
