The All Terrain Vehicle Division of Phoenix International Systems has introduced versions of its Prowler RTV (rugged terrain vehicle) for use by the nation’s fire-fighting and emergency response agency operators. These new emergency response vehicles (ERVs) are specially designed and purpose-built for emergency wild fire response and for emergency medical response.

Both vehicles offer the same advantages as the Prowler LTATV in use by the military around the world and by the US Homeland Security community; unmatched reliability, stability, speed, endurance, power, all terrain mobility and operator protection. The Prowler emergency wild fire response ERV, designed for the wild fire emergency first responder, provides a self-contained fire fighting unit and the ability to act as a remote pumping station. The Prowler medical response ERV, for the medical emergency first responder, provides tough and compact transportation for time critical response in restricted and rugged terrain situations. It offers a full EMT supply case and Stokes basket mount as well as a number of other configuration options.

The Prowler ERV, with its proven ability to perform as a stable platform in any terrain or climate, provides unparalleled capabilities based upon its:

  • Fully automatic all wheel drive with 3-way locking differential
  • Better than 1:1 load to vehicle weight ratio
  • Wide range of auxiliary power resources
  • Low center of gravity, tight turning radius and high ground clearance
  • Front and rear extended range double wishbone suspension
  • Rugged and durable chromalloy steel tubular construction
  • Platform engineering for minimal maintenance
  • Automotive style controls

In addition, the Prowler provides wheel or track mount interchangeability, a feature offered by no other ERV platform.
