A|D|S hailed the success of HOSDB 2011, the Home Office’s annual security exhibition.

The event was said to be bigger than ever in 2011 and after three successful days at Farnborough in Hampshire, the official show figures have revealed that a total 429 companies exhibited at the event. In addition, there were more than 3,500 registered visitors with over 600 international attendees from more than 50 countries.

A|D|S, the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space trade organisation runs the event on behalf of the Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) at Farnborough.

The team experienced three busy days at the show, which enabled them to meet many of our current customers while receiving new interest from visitors who approached us with specific requirements and technical questions, resulting in a whole series of project ideas.

Debbie Reed, marketing manager of Steatite, said: "This was our first time exhibiting at the show and the general consensus of opinion from the team was that it was a great success. This week was about showcasing our capabilities to the security and defence authorities in the UK and internationally. In addition to the capabilities and product that Steatite currently provide to local authorities in the UK, we now look forward to exploring the global opportunities for this sector that this show has delivered to us with approved partner nations."
