The satisfaction in Meteksan Defence in term of its timely delivery of projects, the quality of its products and its after-sales support among its customers is continuing to bear fruit. Meteksan Defence will provide design and consultancy support for the new Damage Control Simulator of an international end user, who already owns and operates one of the Meteksan Defence’s simulators.

Burak Akbaş, Director of International Sales, Marketing and Corporate Reputation at Meteksan Defence, spoke about the most recent project: “We continue to meet the needs of the international market in our fields of activity with innovative technologies. It is a source of great pride for us to see our Damage Control Simulator being selected for the second time by the same end user. Like our other achievements in exports, we have succeeded in this contract by offering effective solutions to international users with cost-effective and collaborative models. This new development, which is an indicator of the satisfaction of the end user in our product, will open many new doors for us in the international market. We are aware of the importance of exports for sustainability, and we continue our work in this direction.”

The main goal in Damage Control is to ensure the mobility of the damaged vessel during its transfer to the nearest maintenance/repair port, meaning that the damage must be taken under control as soon as possible. To this end, it is vital that ship personnel undergo damage control training in accordance with the recommended standards to ensure appropriate interventions. Throughout the world, such training can be provided using damage control simulators, which offer a realistic training environment. Designed, produced and delivered on a turnkey basis by Meteksan Defence, the Damage Control Simulator offers ship personnel a training environment that ensures their damage control readiness, in accordance with international and maritime standards. To date, the naval forces of four different countries have turned to Meteksan Defence for their damage control simulator needs.
