US-based provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs) LRAD has secured orders from the US military for the delivery of accessories and spare parts for LRAD systems.
Valued at more than $1m, the orders are for the LRAD systems are being procured in a previously announced $6m US Army programme of record. They are being awarded to support on-going US Navy programmes.
The order from the US Army for the delivery of LRAD 500X systems, accessories and spare parts was awarded in September last year.
In addition, the company secured orders from the US Department of State for the delivery of LRAD 450XL and LRAD 500X systems.
LRAD chief executive officer Richard S Danforth said: “The US Army and US Navy accessories and spares orders will support deployed LRAD systems from previous AHD programmes.
“The State Department selected LRAD to provide vehicle mounted AHDs for overseas embassy security.”
