Kyiv Armored Plant has delivered more than 50 new BTR-3As to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies.

Kyiv Armored Plant is a subsidiary of UkrOboronProm. The company has also provided repaired T-72 battle tanks and other armoured vehicles.

The BTR-3DA armoured personnel carriers were transferred to the Ukrainian Army after having passed factory and acceptance trials.

Ukrainian Army defence capabilities will be enhanced with the delivery of the new vehicles.

More than 100 new, advanced and restored armoured vehicles units were transferred from the workshops of the Kyiv Armored Plant last year.

“The modern digital complex with a laser range finder and gun stabiliser will ensure high precision of fire.”

A new modern assembly and welding industry arrangement enabled the company to significantly increase the rate of armoured vehicle production while reducing costs.

The BTR-3DA carriers are integrated with a ‘Sturm-M’ combat module with a 30mm ZTM-1 automatic gun that has the capability to fire 330 rounds every minute.

The modern digital complex with a laser range finder and gun stabiliser will ensure high precision of fire.

The ‘Sturm-M’ combat module features a 7.62mm machine gun and automatic grenade launcher, in addition to a range of guided weapons of up to 800mm with a firing distance of up to 5km.

This enables BTR-3DA personnel to destroy any armoured enemy equipment.

Kiev Armored Plant also completed the upgrade of the main T-72AB military tanks.
