Team Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET) has been selected for the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC) unrestricted / full and open competition acquisition.
The $28bn nine-year defence award is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract.
Artificial intelligence software company Gemedy is part of Team ACET, which is a Pool 1 awardee. It is responsible for providing DTIC with research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E), as well as other research and development-related analytical services.
Services will be delivered in support of the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marines Corps and other DoD and US Government customers.
Gemedy president and chief scientist Dr Alex Wissner-Gross said: “This considerable award recognises Gemedy’s leadership in applying state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to problems in national defence.
“We look forward to serving both existing and new customers in the department of defence through this opportunity.”
IAC-MAC is run by the DTIC, which offers crucial information such as technical RDT&E as quickly and accurately as possible.
This reliable information will help support the requirements of US DoD customers.
IAC will focus on technical areas such as autonomous systems, cybersecurity, software and data analysis, modelling and simulation, knowledge management, and information sharing. Command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) will also be included in the contract.
