The US Army has selected S3 AeroDefense as strategic partner to execute service for its entire UH-60 Blackhawk fleet.

Under the contract, S3 will provide overhaul and repair works for the Moog UH-60 Hydraulic APU Accumulators.

UH-60 Black Hawk is a multi-mission helicopter that has been operational in the US Army since 1978. The export version of the UH-60 Black Hawk is designated as S-70A.

S3 AeroDefense Americas director of sales Mario De La Torre said: “The continued expansion of our in-house capabilities paired with strong OEM relationships allows S3 AeroDefense to supply necessary safety and functionality repairs for every aircraft in their fleet.”

S3 AeroDefense Sales senior vice-president Sebastien Imbert said: “At S3, being awarded this contract by the US Army solidifies our mission as a company and builds on the strong foundation we have built to service governments and military aircraft operators around the world.

“We are excited to continue the level of excellence that our partners are accustom to and grow our relationship with the US Army.”

S3 AeroDefense will execute the work at its in-house repair shop in Wisconsin, Milwaukee, US. The company ensures mission-readiness for the US Army.

S3 claimed that it provides the US Army with an array of the latest product upgrade.

The US Army awarded S3 with a five-year firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract in September.

In a separate development, the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) Joint Federated Assurance Center (JFAC) selected Parasoft’s DevSecOps solution.

The DoD will use the Parasoft solution for building security into critical DoD programmes.

Parasoft’s DevSecOps solution includes static application security testing and API Testing. It will enable JFAC to further its mission of providing DoD software teams with a ‘one-stop shop’ to enhance software quality and security practices.
