
Australian Penten and UK-based Amiosec have successfully merged to launch a new entity that provides sovereign cybersecurity and electronic warfare (EW) technologies for defence and government.
With a workforce of around 300 security-cleared professionals and operations in both Australia and the UK, the newly formed PentenAmio serves a growing customer base within allied nations.
PentenAmio executive co-chair Adrian Cunningham said: “This merger will help us provide our customers with the agility and innovation which they need, wherever they are in the world.
“By joining forces we give ourselves, our nations and their allies access to an unrivalled breadth and depth of expertise across secure communications and beyond.”
The newly formed entity is set to generate more than A$125m ($79.84m) in annual revenue, demonstrating high growth rates and robust gross profit and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) margins.
This financial performance will enable PentenAmio to further invest in research and development, and expand its global presence.

By GlobalDataPenten co-founder Matthew Wilson and Amiosec co-founder Adrian Cunningham will lead the merged business as executive co-chairs.
Penten former CFO Sarah Bailey takes on the role of CEO for PentenAmio Australia, while Matt Thomas from NCC Group has been appointed CEO of PentenAmio UK.
Both appointments are effective immediately.

Penten former CEO Greg Barsby has chosen to step down following the merger but will continue to provide strategic advice to PentenAmio.
The company remains privately held, influenced by its founders, and supported by Five V Capital as a minority shareholder.
PentenAmio has a portfolio of proprietary technology IP, offering customers a unique advantage in national security.
Its scalable encryption and deception solutions have been deployed in classified settings by over 20 national security and defence organisations across the UK, Australia, and Canada.
Looking ahead, PentenAmio is actively seeking strategic partnerships and opportunities to enter markets across NATO and other Five Eyes aligned countries.
