PCX Aerostructures has secured two contracts, totalling $136.2m, from the US Department of Defense (DoD) to support the Apache helicopter programme.

Under the first contract worth $72.3m, PCX will manufacture new main rotor heads for Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter.

The second $63.9m contract requires the company to provide overhaul and repair (O&R) services for Apache main rotor heads.

The contracts for the production and O&R services for AH-64 Apache helicopter components have a five-year period.

The latest contracts are the company’s third consecutive main rotor head O&R contract award.

PCX president and CEO Jeff Frisby said: “We are excited about these awards and are pleased to be able to continue our legacy of providing material support to the Apache helicopter programme.
