Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has signed a cooperation agreement with Indian companies Dynamatic Technologies and Elcom Systems for the production, assembly and support of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in India.
Under the terms of the agreement, IAI will transfer its UAV technology and production capabilities to Dynamatic and Elcom.
Dynamatic will provide its aerospace production technologies and expertise with UAVs in India, while Elcom will offer its technology platforms in the fields of electronics and communications.
Together, the companies will work towards the indigenous development of UAV systems for the Indian Armed Forces.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dynamatic Technologies CEO and managing director Udayant Malhoutra said: "This cooperation agreement with IAI for local manufacture and assembly of medium-altitude long endurance (MALE) UAVs will support Dynamatic's vision of establishing a world class UAV enterprise in India.
“Dynamatic and IAI have already partnered earlier this year for the manufacture of Mini UAVs under the Indian government's 'Make in India' initiative.
