Iran has equipped its army’s ground force with new anti-armour and anti-chopper weapons, equipment and systems, a senior Iranian commander has said.

Iranian Army ground force lieutenant commander General Kioumars Heidari said new equipment was handed over and that all contracts with defence industries were implemented.

“The equipment delivered to the ground force is mostly related to the fields of anti-armour and air defence, including anti-chopper weapons, and the systems used by the armoured and infantry units for air offence and defence,” he said.

Iran has been successful in producing different kinds of ground equipment such as aggressive weapons and machine-guns, according to the Far News Agency.
