Oshkosh has been awarded a contract to supply over 2,000 medium tactical vehicles (FMTV) trucks and trailers to the US Army.
Under the contract, worth more than $259m, Oshkosh will provide more than 1,300 trucks, including eight different variants, and 700 trailers.
Oshkosh vehicles will be used in US military operations domestically and internationally, supporting combat operations, relief efforts and unit resupply, among other functions.
The FMTV trucks and trailers enhance the army mobility, and support a range of tactical operations by transporting soldiers and carrying equipment weighing up to 5t.
The truck and trailer production deliveries are scheduled to run until June 2012.
