Raytheon and Serco will provide a cost-effective solution for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) joint military air traffic services (JMATS) programme.

The JMATS programme, also known as Project Marshall, is a 22-year managed service programme for the delivery and management of network-based services, applications, equipment and training in MoD military airfields and for deployed operations.

Raytheon said it was the largest official supplier of air traffic management equipment and the only UK-based radar manufacturer and supplier of radar systems to the UK MoD.

Serco supplies air traffic control services and provides operations, training and support services for a number of MoD airfields.
