The US Army has awarded a contract to Mack Trucks to deliver 46 additional Mack Vision Elite tractors.
Under the $6.6m contract, the company will provide Vision Elite tractors with 70in high-rise sleepers, paired with 35t lowboy trailers and spare parts.
The Vision Elite tractor, also known as the Mack Pinnacle Axle Back model, is designed for use in markets outside of North America and is powered by an export version of the Mack MP8 13l diesel engine.
The Mack Pinnacle series, available in axle back or axle forward configurations, features a high-horsepower and fuel-efficient Mack MP engine that delivers superior low-end torque.
In addition, the highway trucks incorporate heavy electronics, an ergonomic dashboard, plush interiors, and a quieter, reinforced cab.
