The US Army has awarded a contract to technology provider Digimarc Corporation to develop video intelligence systems.

Under the contract, the company will integrate the systems hardware into an operational unmanned aerial vehicle, and provide testing in specific scenarios to demonstrate the enhancements.

The systems will allow improvements in data collection, search, retrieval and dissemination of future intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance imagery.

The contract is valued at $600,000.
