Canada-based CAE Incorporated has received a series of military contracts over C$100m (US$92m) from three major defence suppliers for the provision of flight simulators and training devices.

As a subcontractor to helicopter manufacturing and support company Eurocopter, CAE will perform major upgrades on two CAE-built CH-53 full-flight simulators operated at a German Army aviation school.

The simulator upgrades for Eurocopter are expected to be complete by the end of 2011.

In addition, as a subcontractor to L-3 Communications, CAE will continue to provide avionics software upgrades, integrated logistics support and data management services for the Canadian Forces CF-18 aircraft for a year.

CAE has also been contracted by Airbus Military, a subsidiary of EADS, to provide A330 multirole tanker transport aircraft training devices to the United Arab Emirates and Royal Saudi Air Force.
