The US army will receive SATCOM operations and maintenance services for its global information grid facility in Germany from PAR Technology subsidiary Rome Research Corporation (RRC).

Under the contract, RRC will provide services for the defence satellite communications system (DSCS), standardised tactical entry point (STEP), teleport and regional hub node.

The firm will also provide SATCOM services for Ka-band satellite transmit and receive system (KA STARS) and deployable Ku-Band earth terminals (DKET) at the SATCOM Facility in Landstuhl, Germany.

The contract will cover a six-month base period with four one-year option periods.

RRC has been operating and maintaining teleport commercial and military satellite terminals for the army in Germany for about five years under a separate contract.
