The US Army has awarded a contract to environmental and facilities management company Shaw Environmental for clean-up services at Radford Army Ammunition Plant, in Virginia US.
Under the six-year performance-based task order, the company will identify, investigate and clean up hazardous substances, pollutants, and contaminants from the ammunition plant.

In addition, the company will identify the potential explosives safety, health, and environmental issues caused by past DoD munitions-related activities.
The $3.994m contract has been awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District.
