Apptis has been awarded the project manager defence communications and army transmissions systems (PM DCATS) command centre upgrade (CCU) special project office (SPO) contract by the US Army.
The company will provide overall management, engineering, integration and acquisition of turn-key C4I systems worldwide, under a $130m contract, which includes one base year and one option year.
The PM DCATS team manages over 100 projects that support joint warfighters, major commands and combatant commanders.
Projects include strategic satellite communications and wideband control systems, long-haul terrestrial microwave and fibre-optic communications systems, combat service support communications systems, command centre upgrades, base radios and combat vehicle intercom systems.
Apptis’s scope of work also includes integration of enterprise infrastructure, telecommunications and IT systems engineering and implementation, operation and maintenance, training support and integrated logistics support.
The project includes ManTech, SGIS, X-EETO and CSC as subcontractors.
