CPU Technology has announced the delivery of the 1,750th Position Interface Box (PIB) to BAE Systems to be installed on the Bradley Combat System deployed by the US Army

The PIB acts as a remote terminal on the Bradley combat tank. It collects angular information from the 25MM gun, the TOW Missile Launcher and the turret azimuth gear box assembly resolvers.

The PIB transmits commands from the MIL-STD-1553B Bus Controller to indicate the angular elevation position of the weapons and the turret azimuth angle with respect to the vehicle’s hull.

The PIB has been in production since 2004.
