The US Army’s Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) acquisition centre has awarded an $8m contract to engineering firm Argon to perform research and development services in airborne communications intelligence.

The contract sanctions up to $30m for R&D over three years.

Argon will aid CECOM to develop, acquire and sustain superior information technologies and integrated systems to assist its troops.

“The work on this project will help to ensure that warfighters have uninterrupted access to advanced airborne communications intelligence technology,” said Argon president and chief operating officer Kerry Rowe.
