US soldiers in Iraq have delivered five up-armored Ford F-350 trucks to the 11th Iraqi Army Division to provide protection and manoeuvrability to the Iraqi staff at Joint Security Station Rasheed.

The upgraded trucks supplied by US soldiers from 115th Brigade Support Battalion of the 1st Cavalry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team will be used by the Iraqi soldiers to offer security to the station’s staff in their daily operations.

The trucks have been further armoured by increasing the number of protective layers inside and outside the vehicles.

To maximise security for troops on patrol, beds of the trucks have been provided with a gunner’s box made of armour plating and seats have been lined with Kevlar and re-upholstered.
