A poll run by leading security website info4security.com has revealed that the song most loved by security professionals is none other than Olivia Newton-John’s 1980s classic Let’s get physical.

The results of votes cast by over 300 of the industries best minds at this year’s IFSEC 2009 conference in the UK saw Let’s get physical take top honours with 17% of the votes.

The closest runner up was Rockwell’s Somebody’s watching me, which got 15% of votes. Further down the list came; The Clash Police and thieves (14%), Beyoncé Ring the alarm (12%) and Hard-Fi’s Stars of CCTV (11%).

Info4security editor Anthony Hildebrand said that this survey had taught him a number of things.

“I’ve learned not only that security professionals have a wide range of musical preferences, but that the majority enjoy tunes from the early to mid-1980s; that they are not embarrassed in the slightest to admit a preference for the lycra-pop of Olivia Newton-John,” said Hildebrand.

‘Songs about security’ is a weekly feature on security website info4security.com.
