Hughes Network Systems will demonstrate the military and emergency response capabilities of its new satellite system SPACEWAY 3 at the ongoing coalition warrior interoperability demonstration (CWID).

SPACEWAY 3 enables the US military and government agencies to stay connected during all contingencies through an alternate path networking solution and mitigates the risks associated with terrestrial networks, the company said.

The high-capacity, 10Gbps processing satellite adopts advanced technologies like Ka-band spot beams and can be easily deployed in tactical defence and emergency situations, providing security to military forces as well as citizens.
