US-based Elbit Systems has been selected to develop the next-generation soldier-worn computer system for the US Army.

The system, which can be customised for different missions, will provide situational awareness to soldiers during intense operations in a configuration that optimises size, weight and power.

Elbit Systems has been selected as part of an industry team called ‘Team Spartan’ led by Rockwell Collins for the system integration and prototype phase of the ground soldier ensemble (GSE) programme for the US Army.

Elbit Systems is an international defence electronics company engaged in a wide range of defence-related programmes globally.
