General Dynamics has been awarded a follow-on contract from the US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to support the systems integration communications infrastructure support programme.

General Dynamics will provide engineering solutions and network and information-system implementation and upgrades for DISA Computing Services through a five year contract valued at $10.9m.

The work to be performed includes planning support for large-scale mainframe information system and mid-tier server initiatives; technical support for planning site surveys; and detailed design, configuration, staging, implementation and upgrading of defence information unfrastructure-compliant (DII) communications infrastructures.

Vice president of the naval IT solutions sector at General Dynamics Information Technology, Kenneth Slaght said that General Dynamics is proud to continue their partnership with DISA.

“We will work to maintain a superior level of technical and management support for DISA’s mission critical tasking,” Slaght said.

General Dynamics Information Technology provides information technology (IT), systems engineering and professional services to customers in the defence, intelligence, homeland security, federal civilian government and commercial sectors.
