UK defence firm Cobham has acquired US intelligence and ballistic missile defence technology company SPARTA in a US$416m deal.
Cobham says the acquisition will help it transform its position in the US intelligence market.
In 2006, Cobham reported revenues of just over US$1bn, and SPARTA US$297m.
The deal is subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.
