BAE Systems has acquired Swedish high-tech company Pitch Technologies in a move it says will expand the company’s capabilities in training and simulation solutions.

The Skr61.3m deal will benefit BAE’s C-ITS primary product line which includes air traffic control simulators and advanced distributed learning platforms.

Pitch Technologies’ computer-based training and research simulation technologies have been used by NASA, Boeing and Mitsubishi.

Training and simulation technology companies are meeting this week at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, Florida.
