US Department of Defense Awards Falcon Radio Orders to Harris

Harris has received orders from the US Department of Defense to supply a range of Falcon II and Falcon III tactical communication systems, including the AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radio. Under the orders worth $16m, the Department of Defense is also acquiring the Falcon III AN/PRC-1

Harris has received orders from the US Department of Defense to supply a range of Falcon II and Falcon III tactical communication systems, including the AN/PRC-117G multiband manpack radio.

Under the orders worth $16m, the Department of Defense is also acquiring the Falcon III AN/PRC-152(C), the Falcon III RF-310M-HH along with Falcon II AN/VRC-104 and AN/PRC-150(C) high-frequency manpacks.

The radios will provide US ground forces with expanded interoperable voice and high-bandwidth data communications, as well as unprecedented situational awareness, and command and control through the wideband networking of the battlefield.

The Falcon III radio platform enables checkpoint and patrol biometrics, convoy tracking and route planning.
