Orbital Sciences Corp. has been awarded a contract worth $1.1bn to build intermediate range ballistic missile targets for the Missile Defense Agency.
Under the firm, fixed-price contract, the company will manufacture intermediate range ballistic missile targets, associated objects, and integrated logistics support.

Orbital will be the prime contractor, with Honeywell and Alliant Techsystems as major subcontractors, according to Reuters.
The contract will run until January 2018.
