The Singaporean Armed Forces (SAF) and the Indian Army have concluded the seventh bilateral artillery exercise, Exercise Agni Warrior, held in Devlali, India, on 2-16 January 2011.

Soldiers from the 23rd and 24th Battalion of the Singapore Artillery, as well as the Indian Army’s 139 Medium Regiment, participated in the exercise.

The exercise included combined live-firing of SAF’s lightweight Howitzers (Pegasus) with the Indian Army’s 155mm FH77 field Howitzers.

The Agni Warrior series of annual exercises is aimed to enhance mutual understanding and interoperability, and to strengthen defence ties between the two armies.
