Lockheed Martin and Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence have jointly unveiled Lithuania’s first High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers.
The system was presented during a ceremony in Camden, Arkansas, last week.

The HIMARS platform is a flexible, highly mobile artillery system, with a proven range of 300km.
According to Lockheed Martin, additional munitions now in development are expected to extend that range to beyond 499km.
The system is configurable to carry six Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) rockets, two Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), or a single Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missile, and is compatible with the entire MLRS family of munitions.
HIMARS has already been deployed by 14 Nato and partner countries, providing them with a precision-guided artillery capability.
Lockheed Martin Tactical Missiles vice president Gaylia Campbell said: “In today’s security environment, seamless cooperation among allies is essential. HIMARS integrates effortlessly with Nato and partner forces, making it a vital asset for coalition operations.”
During the unveiling event, representatives from both organisations also signed a joint statement aimed at increasing cooperation in security, defence, and industry.
Lithuania’s National Defence Vice Minister Vitalija Zumerienė and Lockheed Martin’s Vice President of Tactical Missiles Gaylia Campbell signed the agreement, with an intention to explore joint industrial opportunities.
Lockheed Martin indicated that this initiative supports its strategy to broaden its global supplier and partner network in response to growing demand.
