Carahsoft has added natural language generation (NLG) technology company ARRIA as a manufacturer on its Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 (ITES-SW2) contract.
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract is for the US Army’s Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS).
It is held by Carahsoft and is effective through 30 August 2025.
The contract will see Carahsoft provide software, software maintenance, and other ancillary services from ARRIA NLG to support the enterprise infrastructure goals of federal agencies.
ARRIA NLG, in partnership with Carahsoft, will provide NLG, a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to the federal government.
ITES-SW2 is a contract vehicle for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software products and associated services and hardware.
According to the technology company, the ordering is open to all army, US Department of Defense (DoD) and federal agencies, as well as global authorised systems integrators.
Arria NLG CEO Sharon Daniels said: “A truly data-driven culture, like the army, DoD and federal government agencies, need a data literacy strategy, that democratises data, engages its stakeholders and gets rapid user adoption. Arria humanises the way we interact with data.
“That’s how you optimise the business value of data.
“We are excited to be named to the ARMY-ITES-SW2 contract and we believe that the partnership with Carahsoft is a great fit.”
Arria NLG is a form of AI that converts structured data into natural language.
