The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.85% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 22.65% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 0.26% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 16.04% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
The Boeing posted 52 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 13.33% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 34 jobs and a 37.04% drop. James Fisher and Sons with 26 IT jobs and MBDA Holdings with 24 jobs, recorded a 4% flat growth and an 84.62% flat growth, respectively, while Thales recorded a decline of 40% with 21 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.04%, down by 25.56% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.54% share, registered a decline of 15.87% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.43% share, up 93.33% over August 2021.
