Sweden’s apparel industry IT recruitment activity rises 8.1% in October 2021

Sweden’s apparel industry registered an 8.1% rise in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 28.6% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 2.72% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s apparel industry in October 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 69.12% in October 2021, registering an 11.9% flat growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 17.65% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.24%, registering a 40% decline from September 2021.

Top five apparel companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s apparel industry during October 2021 over September 2021.

H & M Hennes & Mauritz posted 59 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 20.41% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 5 jobs and a 28.57% drop. ICA Gruppen with 4 IT jobs, recorded a 20% decline.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.24%, up by 13.16% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.53% share, registered an increase of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.76% share, down 27.27% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.47%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
