Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered an 11.7% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 7.31% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 30.64% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 4.19% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 80.49% in October 2021, registering a 23.26% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 9.76% share, an increase of 300% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 4.88%, registering a 33.33% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 4.88%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Sweden’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Sweden’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
The Boeing posted 19 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 44.12% over the previous month, followed by Saab with 18 jobs and a 38.46% growth. Teledyne Technologies with 3 IT jobs and Micro Systemation with 1 jobs, recorded a 25% decline and a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.78%, up by 11.11% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 39.02% share, registered a decline of 38.46% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.2% share, down 37.5% over September 2021.
