September 2021 has seen an increase of 1.77% in the overall hiring activity when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 19.31% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in September 2021, registering a decrease of 3.91% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in September 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 63.16% in September 2021, a 7.69% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 21.05% in September 2021, marking a 20% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 5.26% in September 2021, a flat growth from August 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 9.52% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s auto industry during September 2021 over previous month.
General Motors posted 12 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a decline of 20% over the previous month, followed by Daimler with 2 jobs and a 100% growth. Lear with 2 IT jobs and Valeo with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while Faurecia recorded a 50% decline with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s auto industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 57.89% share in September 2021, a 35.29% decrease over August 2021. South Africa featured next with a 21.05% share, up 300% over the previous month. Egypt recorded a 15.79% share, a growth of 200% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.95%, up by 7.14% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.79% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.26% share, down 50% over August 2021.
