
India’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 3.0% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.92% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 49.28% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 5.79% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 85.1% in October 2021, registering a 32.83% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 5.53% share, an increase of 64.29% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.05%, registering a 32.26% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.16%, down 30.77% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 32.07% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
The Boeing posted 323 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 36.67% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 57 jobs and a flat growth. Thales with 16 IT jobs and Cubic with 9 jobs, recorded a 38.46% decline and a 12.5% flat growth, respectively, while Rolls-Royce recorded an increase of 50% with 6 job postings during October 2021.
Mid Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Mid Level jobs held a share of 59.13%, down by 38.65% from September 2021. Junior Level positions with a 32.93% share, registered a decline of 21.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.93% share, down 23.26% over September 2021.
