The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.98% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.76% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in France’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 76.97% in September 2021, registering a 5.52% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 9.55% share, an increase of 6.25% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.3%, registering an 18.75% decline from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 2.81%, up 66.67% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 2.21% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Thales posted 145 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 2.03% over the previous month, followed by Airbus with 21 jobs and a 12.5% drop. Naval Group with 9 IT jobs and Leidos Holdings with 1 jobs, recorded a 200% flat growth and a 66.67% decrease, respectively, while Safran recorded a decline of 66.67% with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 86.52%, down by 5.52% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.11% share, registered a decline of 5.26% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.81% share, up 66.67% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.56%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
