The industry’s overall hiring increased by 18.71% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 29.5% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 0.34% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 67.06% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s aerospace, defence & security industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
The Boeing posted 149 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 69.32% over the previous month, followed by Raytheon Technologies with 41 jobs and a 141.18% growth. L3Harris Technologies with 36 IT jobs and Leidos Holdings with 35 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 10.26% decrease, respectively, while Thales recorded a decline of 11.54% with 23 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 47.73%, up by 48.48% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.52% share, registered an increase of 88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 21.75% share, up 45.65% over August 2021.
