Architecture and Engineering Occupations, with a share of 33%, emerged as the top 3D printing-related job roles within the aerospace, defence and security industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings drop by 7% quarter-on-quarter. Computer and Mathematical Occupations came in second with a share of 25% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 20% over the previous quarter.

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Boeing, Relativity Space, Leidos, RTX, and Lockheed Martin. Together they accounted for a combined share of 72% of all 3D printing-related new jobs in the aerospace, defence and security industry.
Boeing posted 339 3D printing-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Relativity Space 188 jobs, Leidos 112 jobs, RTX 62 jobs, and Lockheed Martin 50 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 58.08% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023
The largest share of 3D printing-related new job postings in the aerospace, defence and security industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 58.08% followed by India (29.42%) and Liberia (3.75%). The share represented by the US was three percentage points higher than the 54.93% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
