Military and safety flame-resistant protective apparel
Flame-resistant protective apparel made of NOMEX III A combines style and functionality with a professional appearance, enabling you to specify garments that look as good as they perform.
Garments made from NOMEX III A are available in a wide range of colors and styles, including jackets, parkas, slacks, gloves, jeans, shirts, sweatshirts, military suits, coveralls and chemical splash suits. In addition, protective apparel of NOMEX III A is offered in a variety of fabric weights to suit any climate.
Garments of NOMEX III A can be laundered using normal home or commercial laundering and dry cleaning techniques. The flame-resistance is permanent – it is part of the fiber itself, so it cannot be washed or worn out, even if the garment is mishandled. Because they are extremely durable, garments of NOMEX III A stand up well to repeated laundering and use. Fabrics of NOMEX II A exhibit minimal shrinkage (1 percent to 3 percent) and maintain their size and shape over the life of the garment.
In fact, the garments of NOMEX III A come out of the dryer ready to wear and rarely need pressing.
Chemical-resistant garments
The strong chemical resistance of NOMEX III A to many organic solvents makes it easy to remove greases, oily soil and other flammable contaminants from garments. Flammable contaminants can reduce the thermal protective performance of any garment, thus they should be removed as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
