Denchi Power is formally launching its new lithium-ion 6T vehicle battery for future military vehicles at DSEI 2015, which will be help on the 15 – 18 September in London, UK.

The 6T lithium-ion vehicle battery allows greater stealth in combat situations with silent watch capability. The battery has been developed in-house by a UK small-medium enterprise (SME).

The product is designed to comply with MIL-PRF-32143B, MIL STD1257E, DEF-STAN 59-411 and SAE J1939.

Sales director Glyn Stanton stated that: "The Denchi Power Li-Ion 6T battery offers a step change in cold weather engine start, silent watch capability, combined with increased specific energy / reduced weight for future military vehicles."

Denchi Power will also be showcasing a number of other existing battery and charger products for dismounted soldiers and autonomous vehicles. Amongst these are the new central energy source (CES), which is used by BAE System’s new Broadsword product and the new UAV Sparrowhawk battery.
