Barrett Communications is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Phillip Bradshaw as a non-executive chairman with effect from the 10 January 2012.

Mr Bradshaw has been with the company for 26 years, with over 14 of those as the managing director. At this time Mr Bradshaw will retire from his role as managing director.

Mr Greg O’Neill has been appointed to the role of managing director of Barrett Communications. Mr O’Neill has held the role of general manager for over six years.

The newly formed board will comprise Mr O’Neill and Mr Andrew Burt, general manager at Barrett Europe, as executive directors, Mr Tom Barrett and Mrs Joy Barrett as non-executive directors and Mr Phillip Bradshaw as chairman.

Mr Bradshaw said: "In consultation with the Barrett family over the past three years, and the past year in particular, I have made changes to the company’s management team and planned the expansion of the board of directors to provide a strong structure to take Barrett Communications into the future."

He went on to say: "After finalising the acquisition of Q-Mac Electronics, moving into our new premises and leading the company strongly out of the GFC, I am happy to be moving into a non-executive role. We have a solid product line, excellent products on their way, well qualified and dedicated staff, a strong dealer network and a substantial order book."
