Australia’s DroneShield and Dutch tactical mobility firm Defenture have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and pursue commercial opportunities in mobile counter-uncrewed aerial system (UAS) solutions.
The MoU was signed during the Eurosatory 2026 defence and security exhibition.

As part of this collaboration, DroneShield will combine its hardware and software capabilities in counter-UAS technologies with Defenture’s experience in mobile vehicle platforms.
Together, they plan to create integrated air defence and command-and-control solutions for contemporary operational environments.
Both firms intend to collaborate on a coordinated market deployment plan to address the increasing complexity faced by military and security operators.
Under the terms of the MoU, the companies will jointly establish, prioritise, and pursue a range of commercial efforts. These are set to include coordinated marketing and customer engagement initiatives, product testing, achieving interoperability objectives, and exploring joint business opportunities.
The companies also plan to integrate DroneShield’s existing and upcoming counter-UAS systems into Defenture vehicle platforms, such as the Mammoth and GRF, while developing layered, mobile counter-UAS concepts to meet emerging customer requirements.
The partnership responds to demand for “highly mobile, mission-ready counter-drone systems” that can support military and security operators in increasingly complex threat environments.
DroneShield chief commercial office Louis Gamarra said: “Many military customers are looking for scalable and mobile counter-UAS solutions, that can be deployed quickly and operate effectively in dynamic environments.
“DroneShield’s new partnership with Defenture brings together complementary strengths to support that requirement and create a pathway for joint opportunities in key markets.”
In March this year, DroneShield partnered with Robin Radar Systems to integrate the latter’s radar technology into its sensor ecosystem to broaden radar-based detection options for users.
